conducted a study of 2,119 MBA, PGDBM students in Hyderabad, Bangalore,
Chennai, Cochin, Mumbai, Ahmadabad, Calcutta and Delhi and few other states in country
and found that
only 21% of Students from
Tier-II, Tier-III B schools were considered
fit for employment. India’s estimated 3,300 B - Schools churn out tens of
thousands of management graduates each year. But only a small fraction of them
are “employable,” or possess basic skills necessary to work in corporate
sectors ranging from marketing, HR, IT to finance according to a study.
The demand for MBA has been
there from time immemorial, however of late there is a decline in the
employability status of these graduates. There are a lot of speculations on why
these graduates are not employable. The feedback from the industry is that most
